Research-FreeAskAgent — High-level Navigation Framework for Embodied Interaction

Intro

This project extends FreeAskWorld with a high-level navigation framework designed for interactive embodied agents operating in dynamic environments. Built on top of the FreeAskWorld simulation framework and the modular FreeAskAgent architecture, the system introduces a higher-level decision layer for navigation, coordination, and interaction. It focuses on connecting long-horizon planning with closed-loop embodied behavior, enabling agents to reason about goals, actions, and socially grounded navigation in more complex scenarios. The framework is further enhanced through multi-modal interaction, incorporating voice-based communication and video streaming to support richer human-agent and environment-agent exchanges. Rather than treating navigation as a purely low-level control problem, the project reframes it as a high-level interaction system that links planning, perception, and communication inside an embodied simulation environment.
